Football culture meets high-quality equipment in the security area

Hundreds of home matches, the 2011 Women's World Cup and many international matches have already been played on the turf of the Rhein-Neckar arena in Sinsheim. Thousands of people have come together since the stadium opened in January 2009 to experience culture and create memories.

With a capacity of over 30,000, the TSG 1899 Hoffenheim arena is a home for every football fan. At such events, where football history is made and thousands of people come together in one place, the general safety of everyone must be guaranteed.

For example, in case of fire, all facilities in the arena must be fully functional to provide protection. Thus, the KARCHER DESIGN Kos ER10 XL RMGF 71 door handle on the doors inside the Rhein-Neckar Arena also serves to ensure safety. The door handle is not mounted on a lever handle rosette as usual, but on an oval frame rosette for metal frame doors, whereby the handle is designed to fit the doors in the stadium exactly. This door handle is a fire protection handle, which is certified by DIN 18273. In the event of a fire, the handle remains resistant to the fire and all its functions remain intact despite exposure to very high temperatures. It therefore guarantees excellent protection in the event of fire. All Karcher Design fire protection fittings comply with safety class 1, which means that they can withstand very high temperatures and do not exhibit any functional limitations even after such exposure.

In addition, the handle is suitable for emergency exit doors due to its shape that runs back towards the door and remains fully functional permanently even when exposed to high levels of force or frequent actuation. Just like the fire protection, this is strictly tested and ultimately certified with DIN 179.

The handle therefore provides absolute protection, both in the event of a fire and in other emergency situations, which is of fundamental importance, especially in busy public buildings such as the Rhein-Neckar-Arena.
